The ApeCoin community has initiated a proposal for a "bug bounty program" of 1 million APE
ChainCatcher news, in light of the Apecoin DAO staking system set to launch later this month, ApeCoin Special Committee member Maaria Bajwa has initiated a proposal to create a "bug bounty program" to protect smart contracts, allocating 1 million APE for this program.
Maaria Bajwa stated that the upcoming staking program is a significant allocation of APE treasury resources, which will require smart contract interactions from APE holders. The bug bounty program adds an extra layer of security and reduces risks for APE holders and the DAO. However, the creation of this bug bounty program is expected to delay the launch of the ApeCoin DAO staking by 2-4 weeks, and if no vulnerabilities are found during this period, the staking system will be launched.
