In the past few weeks, there have been many changes in the Render Network, including the launch of the Render Network Foundation, the restoration of the RNP voting process, and numerous updates to the platform itself. To keep up with all these changes, some of the most prolific creators on the Render Network have released a series of tutorials over the past few weeks, ranging from basic to high-tech. Offering something for everyone at any skill level, let's dive deeper into the latest tutorials on the Render Network:
Late last week, OctaneRender artist and advanced Render Network user David Brodeur (a.k.a. Brilly) released a comprehensive tutorial on how to use the Render Network from start to finish, providing something for creators of all skill levels.
Taking a behind-the-scenes look at his exact process, he admits to using it almost daily for personal and professional creations. Brilly introduces any creator, whether you are a professional artist or just an amateur exploring the network, to what they might need to make their experience run smoothly.
We highly recommend watching the full video, but one of the new features that Brilly emphasizes is the support chat, which allows any user to directly access our world-class support team, who are available to help almost around the clock.
Earlier this month, long-time OctaneRender user and Render Network OG Cornelius Dämmrich (a.k.a. Zomax) released an in-depth tutorial for beginners looking to use the Render Network!
Introducing how he utilized the Render Network for his latest project in the Planet Zomax universe, "You Touch, You Buy," the video breaks down some of his creative processes, why he chose the Render Network for his project, and walks through step-by-step some common practices for advanced artists using the Render Network. For both beginners and seasoned Render Network users, check out Cornelius's tutorial for tips and tricks!
Raphael Rau (a.k.a. Silverwing) further delved into the rendering engine behind the Render Network at the end of these three tutorials and released a theoretical video breaking down caustic rendering.
For those using caustics or looking to start but unsure where to begin, Raphael goes deeper than ever, exploring the path tracer, the inner workings of OctaneRender, and why these properties work the way they do. Any insider baseball enthusiast won't be able to resist Raphael's knowledgeable observations on a complex topic.
Earlier this week, the final vote on whether to include RNP-001 (v2), the "Burn-and-Mint Equilibrium" proposal, in the Render Network development queue concluded. Approximately 210mm RNDR tokens were converted to approval, while about 3.7k RNDR tokens were converted to rejection, clearly indicating that the Render Network community wants to adopt this new tokenomics model!
In the short term, this means transitioning the tokens and the entire network to this new model and adding it to the development queue. As work begins on implementing BME, more information will be released in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to the Render Network community channels for updates.
All of these tutorials will soon be added to the knowledge base through a major update, so keep an eye on the Render Network knowledge base for a wealth of updates in the near future!
