Vitalik: The rise of the stablecoin RAI can address the issues of Lido's dominance in the LSD ecosystem

ChainCatcher message, Vitalik stated during a discussion on the Reflexer Finance Discord that RAI, as the first stablecoin on the Reflexer platform, could become an advocate for supporting non-mainstream liquid staking derivatives (LSD). He believes that the rise of RAI can address the issue of Lido dominating the LSD ecosystem (Lido controls over 30% of the LSD in the crypto market).

Vitalik believes that if the RAI community adopts more proactive governance to support Staked ETH tokens and intentionally only accepts non-dominant forms of Staked ETH tokens (i.e., LSD tokens not launched by Lido). RAI team member Reza.eth pointed out that Vitalik's ideas align with the plans of the project team. He believes that more governance is needed to support less popular LSDs.
