The stablecoin issuer Tether has not yet made any specific comments on whether it plans to withdraw support for Tron
According to ChainCatcher news, as reported by Cointelegraph, after Circle announced it would stop supporting USDC on the TRON blockchain, the stablecoin issuer Tether did not provide a clear answer on whether it would stop supporting the Tron network. When asked for comments on Circle and whether Tether is considering similar actions, Tether stated, "Tether tokens are issued on multiple blockchains, and these blockchains are merely the transmission layers for such tokens."
"Tether reserves the ability to freeze transactions on each directly supported transmission layer to fulfill its compliance obligations. Nevertheless, Tether will continue to actively monitor the security of each supported transmission layer to ensure the highest standards of service for our community."
According to Tether's transparency report on February 21, the Tron network holds over 51.8 billion USDT, accounting for more than half of the nearly 101 billion USDT tokens issued across multiple blockchains.
