Bogden was appointed this year as the executive director of the Office of Trade Relations at Customs and Border Protection, but was subsequently asked to resign, which surprised other officials within the U.S. government.It remains unclear how the U.S. government linked Bogden to Miles Taylor. Taylor was an official at the Department of Homeland Security when he wrote the anonymous op-ed, which was published in The New York Times, describing resistance within the government during Trump's first term.
