ChainCatcher news, Coinbase announced that it will support PAX Gold (PAXG) on the Ethereum network (ERC-20 tokens), with trading set to begin on May 8, 2025, at 9 AM Pacific Time or later, if liquidity conditions are met. Once the supply of this asset is sufficient, the PAXG-USD trading pair will be rolled out in phases. Some supported jurisdictions may impose restrictions on the support for PAXG.

PAX Gold (PAXG) is a digital currency issued by Paxos that is backed by gold, with each PAXG anchored to 1 ounce of gold. Holding PAXG tokens represents ownership of physical gold held by Paxos Trust Company.
