Several Chinese suppliers of fentanyl have completed transactions worth $27 million through encrypted payments

ChainCatcher news, blockchain analysis company Elliptic disclosed that several Chinese chemical suppliers selling synthetic opioid fentanyl precursors have received millions in cryptocurrency payments. Among them, 90% of the companies accept cryptocurrency payments, and identified wallets belonging to these chemical suppliers have received over $27 million in cryptocurrency, with the number of transactions in these wallets increasing by an astonishing 450% year-on-year.

According to Elliptic, most suppliers accept Bitcoin (BTC) and USDT. (source link)
