Greeks.live: 22,000 BTC options and 300,000 ETH options are about to expire, with a nominal value exceeding 2.3 billion dollars
ChainCatcher news, Greeks . live macro researcher Adam posted on the X platform:
- 22,000 BTC options are about to expire, with a Put Call Ratio of 0.64, and the maximum pain point at $65,000, with a nominal value of $1.4 billion.
- 300,000 ETH options are about to expire, with a Put Call Ratio of 0.42, and the maximum pain point at $3,125, with a nominal value of $930 million.
This week, the crypto market faced another significant pullback, with Bitcoin and Ethereum briefly dropping below $60,000 and $3,000, respectively, marking the largest and most prolonged victory for bears this year. However, the implied volatility across major expirations has been continuously declining, primarily due to a sharp drop in call option prices, as Saturday's halving expectations can no longer support the market. Recently, ETF inflows have slowed, and market sentiment is relatively gloomy. Although there was a rebound today, the actions of the whales still indicate a lack of confidence in the market's future, and the bull market needs more inflows of capital after the halving for support.
