U.S. stocks opened lower, with Meta plunging 11% at the opening

ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, the three major U.S. stock indices opened lower, with the Dow down 0.5%, the S&P 500 down 0.5%, and the Nasdaq down 0.7%. Meta Platforms (META.O) opened sharply lower by 11%, with Q3 profits significantly reduced due to one-time tax expenses, and the company plans to raise at least $25 billion through bond issuance. Alphabet (GOOGL.O) rose 5.3%, with Q3 performance exceeding expectations, Eli Lilly (LLY.N) rose 3%, raising its full-year revenue forecast, while Nvidia (NVDA.O) fell 0.8% and Microsoft (MSFT.O) fell 1.7%.
