U.S. stock market opens, Dow rises 0.1%, storage stocks perform strongly
According to Gate market data, U.S. stocks opened with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.1%, the S&P 500 up 0.3%, and the Nasdaq Composite up 0.38%. Storage concept stocks performed strongly, with Micron Technology up 3.1% and SanDisk up 6.2%. Peabody Energy rose 2.5% after Trump instructed the Energy Department to allocate funds to maintain the operation of coal-fired power plants.
