The three major U.S. stock indices closed higher, with Nvidia rising over 4% to a new high

According to Gate market data, U.S. stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average initially rising 0.75%, the S&P 500 index up 0.77%, and the Nasdaq Composite index up 0.88%, with the latter two reaching new highs. Nvidia (NVDA.O) rose over 4%, with a market capitalization exceeding $5.7 trillion, setting a new historical high. New stock Cerebras rose 68%, while Qualcomm (QCOM.O) fell 6%. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index closed down 3.3%, with Baidu (BIDU.O) down 4.7% and Alibaba (BABA.N) down 3%.
