伦敦金融城银行每年产生二氧化碳超8亿吨，远高于比特币
链捕手消息，据绿色和平组织和世界自然基金会发布的报告披露，每年伦敦金融城的银行已经产生超过8亿吨二氧化碳。如果把伦敦市看做是一个国家/地区，那么其碳排放在全球排名第九；相比之下，比特币的碳排放要少得多，按照相同标准评估，也把比特币看做是一个国家，那么目前其碳排放排在全球前30个国家/地区中，另据剑桥大学数据显示，39%的比特币网络由可再生能源提供支持。
此外，绿色和平组织和世界自然基金会在报告中还指出，自《巴黎协定》签署以来的五年中，全球60家最大的银行为化石燃料提供了3.8万亿美元的融资，而化石燃料开采和燃料助长了气候混乱，其中仅英国跨国银行汇丰银行（HSBC）就向化石燃料行业注资超过1000亿美元。
