What is BrightID? How to complete BrightID verification?

BrightID is a digital identity verification system based on the Ethereum ecosystem, completely independent of traditional and internet identity authentication. It solves the unique identity problem by creating and analyzing social graphs, allowing users to obtain a digital identity through real-person verification. Currently, multiple projects such as Gitcoin, RabbitHole, and Status have adopted its solutions and have received recognition from Vitalik Buterin multiple times.
BrightID use cases include identity verification, application user validation, event verification (such as airdrops), trust and reputation building, and more. Currently, BrightID is also developing IDChain.
According to official information, BrightID is the identity system of the Web3 era, representing your uniqueness in the Web3 era. Based on this uniqueness, we can form a vast human trust network through trust links between each other, which will play a significant role in the Web3 era.
BrightID believes in the power of social restoration to protect digital identities and personal control over one's identity. If someone accidentally or intentionally steals a user's BrightID, the user only needs to reconnect with a few people they initially contacted and have them verify that the user is the same person as the BrightID to recover their account.
BrightID builds a trust network based on identity, so when users link to anyone, the system will prompt the conditions of the link with the other party, such as:

• Suspicious: Completely do not know this person
• Just met: Just an acquaintance
• Already known: Very familiar with this person (close friend or bestie)
• Recovery: Family member, this person can help you recover your account

Users should keep the above trust levels in mind and avoid blindly linking and setting trust levels. Every link you make is building your personal reputation network, and an unhealthy reputation network may lead to damage to your reputation and economic interests in certain activities (such as airdrop events, etc.).
To ensure the authenticity and uniqueness of user identities, BrightID will conduct video conferences for identity verification. During the verification process, users need to turn on their video, and the verifier will identify whether there is a duplicate verification. If the verifier discovers a duplicate verification, they will report it to BrightID and revoke the duplicate verifier's BrightID account.
To help everyone better complete the BrightID identity verification, Chain Catcher has organized the specific process as follows:
Step 1: Go to the BrightID official website and download the APP, then simply register and set your profile picture.

Step 2: Go to https://meet.brightid.org, check the suitable time and verification method for yourself, and download the Tencent Meeting APP or client to participate in the video conference during the corresponding time.
Step 3: After entering the Tencent video conference, the host will display a QR code. Use the BrightID software to click "Scan a Code" to scan it. Once the scan is successful, no further action is needed; just respond to the host when they call your name one by one.
Step 4: About 10 minutes after the meeting ends, the BrightID account will show that verification was successful.

It is worth noting that after completing the verification, the system may remind you to establish social connections with other users who participated in the verification.
After completing the identity verification, users can also go to https://idchain.one/begin/, fill in their Ethereum address, and use BrightID to scan and verify their identity to receive an airdrop of 10 IDchain gas tokens.
In addition, users can use BrightID to connect to verification-related platforms, such as Gitcoin (the trust bonus page in the Profile, where verification can increase account credibility), 1HIVE (where governance tokens can be obtained for free through faucets to participate in governance), RabbitHole (where tasks can be completed to earn airdrop rewards), etc. You just need to open the specific webpage and follow the process to complete the scan.
