Last Thursday, the MOBOX token MBOX officially launched on Binance, soaring nearly threefold on its launch day, becoming the first GameFi project listed on Binance in recent times.
According to public information, MOBOX launched in April this year and is a community-driven GameFi platform. The team has previously developed well-known blockchain game projects such as EtherOnline, Wink (formerly Tronbet, later acquired by Justin Sun), and ChainZArena, making it one of the hottest blockchain game projects on BSC, with a TVL reaching $250 million.
Next, Chain Catcher will introduce the basic information, gameplay, and economic model of this project based on Binance research reports, the MOBOX white paper, and other public materials.
1. What is MOBOX?
MOBOX is a blockchain gaming platform that enhances user engagement and entertainment through token rewards. MOBOX employs a corresponding token economic system, combining the advantages of DeFi and NFTs, using financial mechanisms and gaming systems to empower users and create a free-to-play and play-to-earn ecosystem.
MOBOX has developed a complete set of decentralized tools and a comprehensive smart contract ecosystem to ensure that users can genuinely participate and be rewarded for their contributions to the community. Whether through liquidity mining, designing and creating unique NFTs, game development, or simply using all the tools provided by the MOBOX platform, everyone who participates in the MOBOX ecosystem and contributes will receive rewards from the platform.
Currently, MOBOX has launched features such as liquidity mining, NFT blind boxes, simulated competitions, and Coin Master, allowing users to earn MBOX rewards by providing liquidity and obtaining more MBOX rewards through opening NFT blind boxes to get MOMO.
MBOX and MOMO are the two core elements of the MOBOX platform, where MBOX is the native functional token of the MOBOX platform, used for platform governance, increasing staking rewards, and purchasing blind boxes, while MOMO is the NFT of the MOBOX platform, allowing users to stake MOMO or use MOMO for gaming battles to earn MBOX rewards.
The games planned for development by MOBOX include Coin Master, Block Wars, and Savage War Chronicles, with the first one already launched and Block Wars scheduled to go live within this month. In the future, MOBOX also plans to support third-party game developers to release games on the platform.
2. MBOX Economic Model
Since MOBOX is also a fair launch project with no presale, no investors, and no pre-mining, all MBOX tokens are distributed based on user activities on the platform, including yield farming, MOMO NFT staking, and MOBOX games.
Currently, MBOX is minted on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), with 20%, 8%, and 21% allocated to the team, strategic partners, and marketing, respectively. Meanwhile, 51% of MBOX tokens are mined by users through the GameFi mechanism across all games released on the platform.

Each year, the DAO will vote to approve how tokens are allocated to each game and how tokens are distributed to strategic partners and marketing. Any tokens not released into circulation by the end of the year will be permanently destroyed.
Specifically, MBOX, as the native utility token of MOBOX, has the following use cases:
1) MBOX token holders will be able to submit and vote on proposals that influence the platform's development and direction. Currently, MOBOX has not yet enabled governance features.
2) Users can stake MBOX to earn more mining rewards. When users mine using the MBOX-BNB trading pair LP, BUSD, etc., in the MOBOX platform liquidity pool, they can enhance their yield by staking MBOX.
3) Users can use MBOX in games to enhance combat power, such as unlocking stronger skills or obtaining additional characters.
4) Users can use MBOX to purchase BOX to open NFT blind boxes and obtain higher rarity MOMO.
5) Users can use MBOX tokens to bid on a limited number of legendary MOMO NFTs.
Additionally, MOBOX will allocate 80% of platform profits and 5% of NFT market transaction fees to the MBOX buyback and burn fund. When the current price of MBOX is below the 72-hour average price, a smart contract will be triggered to purchase MBOX and automatically burn the tokens at an appropriate time. Currently, the MBOX buyback fund amounts to $4.43 million, with 6.63 million MBOX tokens repurchased.
According to official information, the maximum token supply of MBOX is 1 billion tokens, with a current circulating supply of 48.37 million tokens. As of the time of writing, the price of MBOX is $4.5, with a market cap of $270 million.
3. Play-to-Earn Gameplay
Currently, the MOBOX team has launched play-to-earn gameplay including MOMO mining, simulated competitions, and Coin Master.
First, players can obtain MOMO by opening NFT blind boxes or purchasing them in the NFT market. Holding MOMO allows for automatic mining to earn MBOX rewards, with higher computing power yielding greater rewards. MOMO can be categorized into five qualities: Normal, Excellent, Good, Rare, Epic, and Legendary, with each MOMO having different computing power. Users can use lower-level MOMO as materials to upgrade to higher-level MOMO for greater computing power.
Second, in simulated competitions, players can participate in zero-cost simulated trading games like Millionaire, Bull and Bear Battle, and Crazy Leverage to earn MBOX rewards.
Third, in Coin Master, players can use three MOMO to battle against other players, with higher computing power and stronger skills resulting in higher win rates. The top three hundred users on the weekly leaderboard can earn MBOX rewards. Additionally, players can use three MOMO daily for exploration to earn MBOX rewards.
In the RPG game Block Wars, which the MOBOX team plans to launch later, there are six hero classes: Barbarian, Duelist, Monk, Ranger, Assassin, and Witch. Players collect equipment sets through forging, pairing skills and talents to defeat other heroes or bosses, ultimately earning MBOX rewards.
