赞比亚央行预计将在第四季度完成CBDC研究
链捕手消息，赞比亚央行表示，预计将在2022年第四季度完成一项研究，以探讨推出央行数字货币（CBDC）的好处。该行一直在权衡创建数字货币的利弊，表示这项研究的结果将有助于确定启动CBDC是否有益。
赞比亚银行与非洲大陆的一些同行一样，希望推出一种数字货币，因为它认为这有可能缩小金融排斥差距并降低交易成本。但是，在启动CBDC之前，央行表示需要了解该研究的结果。央行代理通讯主任Nkatya Kabwe称，研究结果将成为是否在赞比亚引入央行数字货币的政策考虑的一部分。
