The summit lasted a full day, featuring rich and exciting content.

Mr. Zhang Jing'an, former Secretary-General of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of the China Science and Technology System Reform Research Association, delivered the opening speech for the closed-door industry seminar of the day. In his speech, Mr. Zhang stated: "The internet in China has experienced a rising technological development process from low to high, from small to large. The Chinese government emphasizes encouraging technological innovation in the '14th Five-Year Plan' and various policies, laying a solid environmental foundation for advancing China's internet progress. We believe that the future development space for the new generation of Web 3.0 internet technology in China is vast. We need to actively build technical standards conducive to international cooperation and exchange, strengthen the training of compound talents in specialized fields, and vigorously promote international talent exchange. We aim to create a 'harmonious yet different' and jointly prosperous international exchange environment for Web 3.0, contributing to the early realization of the Chinese Dream."

Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Green Development Association, delivered a keynote speech at the summit. Secretary-General Zhou first affirmed the significant academic importance of this summit and emphasized the recognition of the China Association for Science and Technology for this conference and competition. Secretary-General Zhou believes that the decentralized digital technology represented by Web 3.0 provides a solution path for addressing the current climate crisis, such as the carbon market, and that reasonable design of scenarios and mechanisms may enable more people to participate in adapting to and mitigating the climate crisis. Secretary-General Zhou stated: "Green development and biodiversity have always been the core work of the Green Development Association. New technologies will be the key path leading us to solve new problems. We hope to collaborate across fields with more young talents and innovate in parallel." Subsequently, Secretary-General Zhou announced the official opening of the parallel event hackathon competition at the summit.

Former U.S. Ambassador to China Mr. Terry Branstad also attended the summit "virtually," delivering a keynote speech on the topic of global cooperation to achieve Web 3.0 standardization. Mr. Branstad believes that the internet industry is one of the most active areas of technological progress between China and the United States, and the digital transformation of emerging technologies and social life has laid a solid social foundation for the future development of the internet. "Web 3.0 is a global product that requires countries to work together, connect with each other, and progress together. In the face of new technologies and application scenarios, we should join hands to develop more possibilities and deepen cooperation between both sides and multiple parties through practical collaboration."

Following that, Ethereum co-founder Mr. Vitalik Buterin delivered a keynote speech on the theme "ETH & Shanghai: Mutual Influence." In addition to analyzing the current technical advantages of Ethereum and its future development direction, Mr. Buterin, who has a deep connection with Shanghai, also shared his optimistic attitude towards the future path of Ethereum Shanghai. "Shanghai is the city where I have spent the most time in China, and I have many good friends here. Shanghai has been involved in Ethereum development for a long time and has a fantastic Ethereum community and projects. I look forward to seeing more technical teams from Shanghai and China join the platform and participate more in the Ethereum ecosystem."

Mr. Lubin then provided an optimistic judgment on the further expansion of the industry and the long-term momentum of decentralized development, hoping that more aspiring young people from China interested in Web 3.0 technology would engage in exploration and discover their potential and possibilities in this essentially globalized field. Mr. Wu Xiao, CEO of Pure White Matrix and founder of ChainIDE, also shared his entrepreneurial experience and insights at the summit. "The Web 3.0 field is a blue ocean, filled with countless passions and opportunities. We believe that as the industry develops in the future, it will also be filled with higher quality content. We are willing to help Web 3.0 developers realize their ideas and win a larger market externally. Our mission is to help more people recognize that Web 3.0 is a bigger world, experience the potential applications of Web 3.0, and grow and develop together with this industry."
