The Web 3.0 Global Disruptors Week will be held from July 24 to 29
The year 2022 is already more than half over, and the wheels of the times continue to roll forward with a thunderous momentum.
The political and economic landscape of the world is accelerating its reconstruction and evolution: the COVID-19 pandemic continues to ravage the globe, and the road to economic recovery is long and arduous; the ongoing "hot war" between Russia and Ukraine casts shadows of energy, food, and security crises over Europe and the world; the market value of tech giants in Europe and America has significantly evaporated, with the sound of bubbles bursting echoing throughout.
At the same time, we have also witnessed the ups and downs in the global blockchain field: Bitcoin, after a brief rebound, has fallen into a prolonged slump; LUNA's crash triggered a chain reaction in the market; the legendary hundred-billion-dollar giant Three Arrows Capital has filed for bankruptcy protection. Despite the gloomy market sentiment, industry innovation has not fallen silent; while the enthusiasm for NFTs and DeFi remains high, GameFi has emerged as a new force, with endless explorations of "X to Earn." Discussions and practices related to the metaverse and Web 3.0 have not only become a hot trend in the industry but have also successfully transcended boundaries, evolving into a popular topic in the global tech field.
On the other hand, from Silicon Valley to Wall Street, from established giants to rising newcomers, numerous industry leaders are laying out their strategies, competing to seize opportunities in the metaverse and Web 3.0: Microsoft has announced the creation of an enterprise metaverse, Google has established a Web 3.0 department, Facebook has directly renamed itself Meta, JPMorgan has entered the metaverse, the number of projects in the Web 3.0 field invested by a16z (Andreessen Horowitz) has exceeded 80, and Sequoia Capital has established an investment fund focused on cryptocurrency…
Citibank has released a report stating that the metaverse will become the next generation of the internet, with its economic scale potentially reaching $13 trillion by 2030 and global users reaching 5 billion, which will have an increasingly profound impact on business, art, media, advertising, healthcare, and social collaboration. The report also points out that by 2025, the number of Web 3.0 users may reach millions.
"The future is here." Standing at the threshold of the Web 3.0 era, we are filled with enthusiasm and anticipation, yet also harbor doubts and confusion. What changes are there in the investment logic of the Web 3.0 era? What new ways of thinking should the Web 3.0 era possess? What opportunities does the metaverse hold? What possibilities exist for the financial infrastructure of the metaverse world?
From July 24 to 29, 2022, following the successful online forum "Disruptors 2020: Please Answer 2021" and the "Paradigm Shift" GLOBAL DISRUPTORS SUMMIT, Star Consulting will once again collaborate with Starlabs Incubator to launch the "The Future is Here" - Web 3.0 Global Disruptors Week for the global market. This event will invite experts, scholars, investors, senior practitioners, and industry-leading projects from the fields of finance, blockchain, digital assets, and privacy computing to share experiences based on practice and jointly discuss the current status and development trends of the global blockchain, metaverse, and Web 3.0 fields, analyzing the opportunities and challenges faced by the industry and investors.
Omer Ozden, Chairman of Shimu Capital, Professor Li Guoquan from Singapore's Singapore University of Social Sciences, Michael Sung, Partner at LucidBlue Ventures, and Wang Yuehua, Partner at Deding Innovation Fund, have confirmed their attendance at this global disruptors discussion week. At the same time, leaders from top industry projects globally, including Slowmist, Mintable, MetaDojo, MaiZi Wallet, Oasis Network, Chains.com, WePiggy, and Embily, will also gather at this global disruptors summit to share their theories and practices, discussing the opportunities and challenges in the industry.
