The International Securities Commission plans to release cryptocurrency policy recommendations by the end of next year

Chain Catcher News, the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Fintech Working Group has recently been tasked with developing a set of policy recommendations for global securities regulators regarding cryptocurrencies.

Lim Tuang Lee, Chair of the IOSCO Fintech Working Group and Assistant Managing Director of the Capital Markets Division at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, stated that there is an urgent need for international standards. The severe crash of the cryptocurrency market earlier this year significantly influenced IOSCO's decision to formulate "common standards." IOSCO aims to publish these recommendations by the end of next year. (The Block)
