Data: As of August, there have been over 5,800 NFT-related trademark applications in the United States
Chain Catcher news, according to data shared by U.S. trademark attorney Mike Kondoudis on Twitter. As of now, in 2022, there have been over 3,600 U.S. trademark applications for digital currency or cryptocurrency (and related services), surpassing the total of 3,516 for the entire year of 2021. There has been similar growth in the NFT sector, with over 5,800 related trademark applications submitted in 2022. The total for the entire year of 2021 was 2,087. (Source link)
