EOS will hard fork today at 21:00 and activate its v3.1 consensus upgrade
Chain Catcher news, Yves La Rose, founder and CEO of the EOS Network Foundation, stated on social media that we have received official confirmation from the vast majority of nodes (BPs) that the EOS hard fork has been approved. The EOS v3.1 consensus upgrade (hard fork) will take place today at 21:00 Beijing time. The EOS Token remains unchanged and there will be no new Token; EOS Token holders outside of node operators do not need to take any action.
The EOS Network Foundation reminds that all EOS nodes must upgrade to AntelopeIO Leap 3.1 version before this time, or they will be out of sync with the rest of the network.
Chain Catcher previously reported that the EOS EVM (TrustEVM) will soon be available on the EOS network, with a hard fork upgrade scheduled for September on the mainnet. Yves La Rose has stated that the Trust EVM launched by EOS may become the preferred L2 solution for Ethereum. Trust EVM is the official EOS EVM platform, featuring deterministic Gas calculations, instruction set-level EVM compatibility, and full RPC compatibility, and it is about to launch on the EOS mainnet.
