According to ChainCatcher, as reported by CoinDesk, Spanish telecom giant Telefonica, with a market capitalization of $19 billion, allows cryptocurrency payments on its Tu.com marketplace. The integration of cryptocurrency payments on Tu.com is the result of its collaboration with the Spanish cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me.

This is not Telefonica's first foray into blockchain business. It is reported that the company has launched an NFT marketplace and this week announced a partnership with Qualcomm Technologies to develop the augmented reality-driven platform SnapDragon Spaces. Additionally, Meta has announced a collaboration with Telefonica to establish a metaverse innovation center. (source link)
