According to Chain Catcher news and reported by CoinDesk, BitMEX CEO Alexander Hoeptner stated that most of BitMEX's employees have moved from Hong Kong to Singapore and beyond, and now the company's largest office is in Singapore. The reason behind this is the COVID-19 pandemic, "We love Hong Kong very much, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we moved out." Additionally, Hoeptner mentioned that BitMEX has generally shifted to remote work, as many expatriate employees wish to be closer to their families.

It is reported that in 2018, BitMEX rented an entire floor of the Cheung Kong Center in Hong Kong for about $600,000 per month, which at the time was the most expensive office lease in the world. (Source link)
