BNB Chain will conduct a governance vote to determine whether to freeze stolen funds and three other actions
Chain Catcher News, BNB Chain officials announced that an on-chain governance vote will be held to determine the following four actions:
- Whether to freeze the stolen funds;
- Whether to use BNB Auto-Burn to compensate for the remaining stolen funds;
- A white hat hacker program to discover future errors, rewarding $1 million for each significant error found;
- A bounty for capturing hackers, up to 10% of the recovered funds.
The BSC validator voting feature will be enabled in the coming days through the BNB Beacon Chain upgrade. A new on-chain governance mechanism will be introduced on BNB Chain to combat and defend against potential future attacks. As part of the further decentralization process, the number of community validators will continue to increase. (Source link)
