SBF: The Mango hacker incident highlights the importance of oracle standards, as there is often a discrepancy between the current price and the fair price

ChainCatcher news, FTX founder SBF tweeted an analysis of the Mango Markets hack incident, stating, "The real issue is what the oracle's specifications are. The oracle accurately reported the current price of MNGO, but the current price is not close to the fair price. Some positions, like MNGO, are so large and illiquid that the risk engine forces the positions to be fully collateralized."

SBF believes that "oracles sometimes cannot represent any information; they merely reflect the history and current state of the market. The job of the risk engine is to use this information and determine which positions are safe. Sometimes the risk engine cannot just repeat what the oracle says, but must analyze it carefully on its own." (Source link)
