A 15-year-old cryptocurrency hacker agreed to pay $22 million in compensation to the victims

According to ChainCatcher news, a 15-year-old cryptocurrency hacker has agreed to pay $22 million in restitution to the victim, as indicated by documents from the Southern District Court of New York. The hacker stole funds from cryptocurrency investor Michael Terpin in 2018 through a vulnerability in AT&T's SIM card system, which resulted in a loss of $24 million worth of cryptocurrency for Michael Terpin. Terpin's lawyer stated that they will continue to pursue claims against AT&T using the details provided by the hacker. (Coindesk)
