Cailian Press: The total bidding amount for metaverse-related products and services by governments across the country exceeds 130 million yuan

ChainCatcher news, according to Caixin, as of now, there have been more than 40 tender procurements related to the metaverse by various local governments, primarily concentrated in the fields of exhibitions, smart spaces, digital humans, media communication, and software and hardware integration, with a total tender amount exceeding 130 million yuan, and the highest single bid exceeding 30 million yuan.

From a regional distribution perspective, coastal areas and economically developed cities have been more active in project tenders, mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Fujian, Shanghai, Beijing, and Zhejiang. In terms of project types, procurement projects are mainly focused on exhibitions, smart spaces, digital humans, media communication, and software and hardware integration.

In addition, at least 10 provinces and cities in China have issued supportive policies or drafts for public consultation related to the metaverse, with nearly 20 policy documents explicitly containing the term "metaverse," among which Shanghai and Henan have issued them at the provincial level. Meanwhile, local governments' support policies are gradually being refined, with some implementation plans providing detailed regulations on the introduction, cultivation, and subsidies for the metaverse industry.
