The Central Bank Digital Currency Research Institute has announced the patent for the "automobile hardware wallet."
ChainCatcher news, the Digital Currency Research Institute of the People's Bank of China has announced a patent titled "A Method and Device for Implementing an Automotive Hardware Wallet." The patent was filed on December 22, 2021, with inventors including Director Mu Changchun and Deputy Director Di Gang.
It is reported that the patent relates to the technical field of financial devices. The specific implementation method includes: obtaining control instructions input by the user; controlling the hardware wallet module to establish a channel connection with the vehicle-mounted connection module; and controlling the hardware wallet module to communicate with the payment receiving end through the vehicle-mounted connection module for digital currency transactions. This method combines the vehicle with the hardware wallet, solving the problem in the existing technology where vehicle users need to leave the car to complete digital currency transactions, enabling users to complete digital currency transactions through the vehicle, enhancing user experience, and is expected to play a role in various scenarios such as highway toll stations and parking lot fees.
