Paitun: The phishing scam group "Monkey Drainer" has forged accounts @zksync_io to promote phishing airdrops
ChainCatcher news, according to PeckShield's early warning monitoring, the phishing scam group "Monkey Drainer" has forged a Twitter account (@zksyncio) to promote the round3 phishing airdrop airdrop[.]zskync[.]fi, which is a phishing website. Additionally, researcher 23pds from SlowMist stated that the group has not only forged @zksyncio but also accounts like @AptosFoundation, @AptosLabs, and @LayerZero_Labs, reminding users to be cautious of airdrop and phishing risks.
Previously reported by ChainCatcher, crypto detective ZachXBT stated that the phishing scam group Monkey Drainer stole approximately 700 ETH (about 1 million USD) worth of cryptocurrency and NFTs on October 26. This scam has been ongoing for months, with 7,300 fraudulent transactions conducted, and the total amount stolen exceeds 3.5 million USD. (source link)
