ChainCatcher news, Musk published a short post on Twitter explaining his motivations and vision for acquiring Twitter. Musk stated that he hopes there will be a place in the world for healthy debates on broad beliefs. He noted that the current unchecked freedom of speech has allowed a large amount of media information driven by profit to fuel "extreme divisive social hatred," and claimed that "Twitter cannot be called a hell where everyone can freely express themselves."

In addition, Musk mentioned that if Twitter's advertising business is done well enough, it will benefit users and the ecosystem, and he is equally committed to making Twitter an excellent "advertising platform." (source link)
