Google acquires AI avatar startup Alter for $100 million
According to ChainCatcher, TechCrunch reported that Google acquired the AI Avatar startup Alter for about $100 million two months ago. Alter helps creators and brands express their virtual identities. Currently, neither party has disclosed specific transaction details.
Alter was originally known as Facemoji, a platform that provides plug-and-play technology to help game and app developers integrate avatar systems into their applications.
