Kraken's NFT marketplace launches beta version, open to registered waitlist users

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the NFT marketplace of the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has launched a beta version, open to users on the registered waitlist. A Kraken spokesperson stated that the marketplace will provide users access to over 70 NFT collections across the Ethereum and Solana ecosystems in the beta release. Users buying and selling Kraken-hosted NFTs will not incur Gas fees, but Gas fees will apply if NFTs are transferred in or out of the Kraken platform.

As for royalties, the Kraken spokesperson said, "A portion of the value from sales in the NFT marketplace will go back to the original content creators. This ensures that creators' time and effort are always properly compensated." Other features of the Kraken NFT marketplace include the ability to list or offer NFTs in eight fiat currencies and over 200 cryptocurrencies on the platform, as well as viewing and purchasing NFTs listed on other marketplaces under the protection of Kraken's security framework.

The waitlist application for the Kraken NFT marketplace opened in May, originally set to launch this summer, but has been delayed until now. (source link)
