Payment giant Visa has terminated its credit card agreement with FTX
ChainCatcher news, the world's largest payment processor Visa Inc (V.N) announced on Sunday that it has terminated its global credit card agreement with the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX.
A spokesperson for Visa stated, "The situation with FTX is unfortunate, and we are closely monitoring developments. We have terminated our global agreement with FTX, and their U.S. debit card program is being terminated by the relevant issuing banks."
Previously, FTX and Visa had announced in early October plans to expand their partnership, including the launch of Visa debit cards linked to FTX accounts in 40 new countries/regions. (Reuters)
