Report: Bitcoin Mining Machine Sales in Russia Soared in Q4 2022

ChainCatcher news, according to the latest reports from local Russian media, indicates that in the fourth quarter of 2022, the sales of Bitcoin mining machines surged rapidly. Chilkoot is one of the official distributors of cryptocurrency mining equipment in the country, and its sales in the first two months of the fourth quarter have already surpassed the total sales of the third quarter, with sales in the first nine months of this year increasing by 65% compared to 2021.

It is reported that Russia initially planned to ban cryptocurrency mining in the country but later decided to change its stance. Currently, Russian officials plan to legalize cryptocurrency mining in areas with abundant electricity and prohibit mining in energy-scarce regions.
