Optimism announced that it will distribute 10 million OP in RetroPGF 2 to fund projects and developers
ChainCatcher news, Optimism announced its second round of retroactive public goods funding (RetroPGF 2). RetroPGF 2 will distribute 10 million OP tokens in January 2023 to fund public goods that support the development and use of the OP Stack. Optimism will also introduce the first generation of the "Citizens' House" to manage the allocation of funds.
From January 3 to 17, 2023, anyone can nominate projects or individuals for funding on the Optimism Governance Forum. To be eligible for funding, nominated projects or individuals must complete their project profiles on the Gitcoin Grants Hub between January 3 and 24. Holders of the RetroPGF 2 badge will vote on how to allocate funds to the projects, with voting taking place from January 31 to February 10.
It is reported that the voting badges for RetroPGF 2 will be distributed to 90 community members: each RetroPGF 1 holder will receive one RetroPGF 2 badge, the Optimism Token House will select 10 badge holders, and the Optimism Foundation will distribute 21 badges to community members.
