ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the Bank of England is seeking a proof of concept for a central bank digital currency sample wallet and will accept applications until December 23. Key deliverables include a wallet mobile application for Android and iOS, a wallet website, a sample merchant website, and a backend server. The bank stated that it has not previously done any work on a sample wallet for a potential CBDC. The budget range for the initial five-month contract is £200,000 ($245,200). (The Block)
