The U.S. SEC is strengthening its scrutiny of the work of cryptocurrency auditors
ChainCatcher news, according to the WSJ, a senior official at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stated that the agency is intensifying its scrutiny of the work of crypto auditors, as investors may derive false comfort from the reports of these companies. SEC Acting Chief Accountant Paul Munter said in an interview: "We warn investors to be cautious about some of the claims made by cryptocurrency companies." (WSJ)
