ChainCatcher news, a new report from blockchain risk monitoring company Solidus Labs shows that from January 1, 2022, to December 1, 2022, fraudsters deployed over 117,000 scam tokens on-chain, a 41% increase compared to the entire year of 2021. Of these, 8% came from Ethereum and 12% from BNB Chain.

It is reported that the number of cryptocurrencies tracked by CoinMarketCap has exceeded 22,000, but many existing tokens do not meet the listing guidelines of the website. Solidus Labs Chief Operating Officer Chen Arad pointed out that not all tokens deployed on the blockchain are listed on the data site because they are unverified. (CoinDesk)
