HSBC has submitted multiple trademark applications related to NFTs and the metaverse

ChainCatcher news, HSBC has submitted trademark applications to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for digital currency products and services, including those related to the metaverse and NFTs, such as sending, receiving, converting, and storing digital currencies.

The trademark applications also detail several products and services related to the metaverse, such as electronically facilitating secure payment transactions in the metaverse, providing banking services in the metaverse, and processing transactions for virtual credit cards, virtual debit cards, virtual prepaid cards, and virtual payment cards in the metaverse, as well as downloadable digital files certified by NFTs related to NFTs.
