ChainCatcher news, Bitcoin mining company HIVE Blockchain produced a total of 4,752 bitcoins in 2022, an increase of 18% year-on-year. As of today, HIVE holds 2,348 bitcoins, worth over $38 million. HIVE stated that in the fourth quarter of 2022, it strategically sold a portion of its bitcoins to increase cash reserves, funding expansion opportunities during the bear market.
In addition, HIVE Blockchain produced 213.8 bitcoins in December alone, generating an additional $3.15 million in revenue from its energy price hedging and grid balancing strategies. As of December 31, HIVE's total hash rate was 2.06 EH/s. HIVE stated that it currently has 1,423 HIVE BuzzMiner bitcoin mining machines powered by Intel Blockscale listed. (source link)
