The brother of a former Coinbase product manager has been sentenced to 10 months in prison for insider trading
ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, Nikhil Wahi, the brother of former Coinbase product manager Ishan Wahi, has been sentenced to 10 months in prison for insider trading. In September last year, Nikhil Wahi pleaded guilty to insider trading charges at a U.S. District Court hearing, admitting to trading based on confidential information from Coinbase.
U.S. authorities stated that the Wahi brothers and their friend Ramani illegally profited $1.1 million, and the SEC plans to file a civil lawsuit against the three. Currently, Ishan Wahi has pleaded not guilty to the charges. (Decrypt)
