ChainCatcher news, according to the latest report from Electric Capital, a total of 61,127 Web3 developers joined the crypto industry in 2022, setting a historical record, an increase of 25.8% compared to 2021. Among them, the number of "full-time" developers (those contributing to 76% of GitHub submissions) increased by 15.2%, exceeding 7,000. The number of monthly active Web3 developers increased by 5.4%, surpassing 23,300.
Ethereum still dominates developer activity, with its number of full-time developers increasing by 9% to 1,873, which exceeds the total number of the next three ecosystems with the most developers: Polkadot (752), Cosmos (511), and Solana (383).
In addition, Electric Capital stated that due to some projects being closed-source, the actual number of Web3 developers is estimated to be much higher than this. (source link)
