ChainCatcher news, according to beincrypto, the latest disclosed court documents show that Yuga Labs, the parent company of the "Bored Ape" Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), has not registered any copyright for the images in the series, which means the company does not own the copyright for the "Bored Ape" BAYC images. Previously, Yuga Labs sued NFT artist Ryder Ripps for using "Bored Ape" images in the "RR/BAYC" NFT series, but only accused him of false advertising, trademark infringement, and domain squatting, without involving any copyright disputes.
