LayerZero denies the two trusted third-party vulnerabilities pointed out by the Nomad founder
ChainCatcher news, LayerZero CEO Bryan Pellegrino denied accusations regarding two critical trusted third-party vulnerabilities related to LayerZero's cross-chain liquidity protocol Stargate, stating, "This is 100% a factual error, and I would ask you to talk to any of the auditors involved in the project."
Previously, Nomad founder and CTO James Prestwich indicated that there are two critical vulnerabilities in LayerZero relayers, which are currently in a two-party multi-signature state, meaning these vulnerabilities can only be exploited by insiders or team members with known identities. The first vulnerability allows fraudulent messages to be sent from LayerZero's multi-signature, while the second vulnerability permits the modification of messages after they have been signed by oracles and multi-signatures, both of which could lead to "all user funds" being stolen.
