The proposal to establish a Defense Fund by MakerDAO has been voted through, allocating 5 million DAI to cover legal defense costs when needed

ChainCatcher news, the MakerDAO community has voted to approve the proposal to establish a special fund, the Defense Fund, to cover legal defense costs. This fund provides an emergency budget of 5 million DAI to pay for legal defense costs when legal or regulatory actions are taken against specific participants of MakerDAO.

The fund will be managed by an external technical committee composed of insurance and risk management experts, who will make recommendations to approve or deny payment based on applications. (source link)
