Game Space announces the launch of the industry's first large-scale multi-chain game tourney------Player One Tournament, in collaboration with leading blockchain games SplinterLands, Gods Unchained, and Big Time to support the development of the GameFi sector and the transition of Web2 players to Web3.
This tourney has received sponsorship and support from over 24 partners, including BNBchain, KCC Chain public chain, Planet League, Dux Guild, Metamony and other gaming guilds, Metaverse Space, Web3 Space, Meta Galaxy and other Web3 communities, as well as task traffic platforms like Galxe and Link3.
The Player One Tournament has raised a prize pool equivalent to $20,000, which will be distributed among all participants, calling for more Web2 and Web3 gaming enthusiasts to engage in blockchain gaming. Tencent Cloud International, as one of the sponsors of this tourney, has provided $30,000 worth of cloud credits to the gaming partners of this tourney and will continue to invest each quarter to show support for the GameFi sector.
Michael Cameron, CEO of Game Space, stated: "Currently, many blockchain game tours initiated by companies only involve a single game. We hope to collaborate with the most influential games in the industry to revitalize the GameFi sector once again. Based on Game Space's extensive experience, our goal is to improve the conversion rate and attractiveness of Web2 gamers entering Web3 through this blockchain game tour, while also focusing on the gaming experience to help game developers enhance participation and user activity."
According to GameFi industry forecasts, the global GameFi market is expected to reach $38 billion. Trends indicate that compared to other fields, GameFi remains the most resilient and continuously promising sector even in a deep bear market, providing game developers with significant imaginative space and inspiring their aspirations for Web3.
For players, blockchain games can offer true asset ownership, profit returns, and effective community interaction. However, currently, we can see that most GameFi projects generate tokens and NFTs that exist independently, and the entire Web3 gaming ecosystem still faces issues of independence and fragmentation. Therefore, from the perspective of the development endgame of the GameFi sector, the future will certainly involve a logic of interconnecting multiple game assets.
Items from Game A can enter Game B in certain ways, allowing users from Game A to enter Game B, providing players with a seamless gaming experience. Achieving this pathway requires various GameFi project parties and users to balance benefits with each other, essentially representing a new paradigm of underlying commercial logic. The Player One Tournament hosted by Game Space is an attempt at this new paradigm, which has received positive responses from many partners, while the tourney can also enhance the activity of existing Web3 players.
The pre-heating period for the Player One Tournament officially begins on February 3rd at 20:00 (UTC+8), and players can participate in registration by completing tasks on Galxe. The Player One blockchain game tour will last for 9 days, focusing on one game every 3 days. At the same time, Game Space has also invited several well-known game streamers to participate in live broadcasts. 90% of the prize pool will be allocated to players, while 10% will be distributed to all partners, game streamers, and collaborating media.
For the Player One Tournament, Game Space will continue to collaborate with more public chains, various gaming guilds, Web3 Infra, Web3 communities, etc., to host the tour, attracting attention to various GameFi projects and expanding the player base of blockchain games, thereby better promoting the overall prosperity and development of the GameFi and NFT ecosystem.
As the underlying infrastructure of the GameFi industry and the first company to provide GameFi-as-a-service, Game Space not only offers a one-stop access SDK for AAA games but will also develop a series of casual games, exploring asset intercommunication models that combine NFTs and Tokens within these casual games, creating a true gaming metaverse.
