The National Blockchain Technology Innovation Center will be located in Beijing

According to ChainCatcher news, the Beijing Daily reported that the National Blockchain Technology Innovation Center will be established in Beijing, aiming to break through key core technologies in the blockchain field that are fundamental and leading-edge, achieve the industrialization of significant basic research results, and become an important supporting force for the country's new digital infrastructure. The center is led by the Beijing Microchip Blockchain and Edge Computing Research Institute, in collaboration with top domestic universities, research institutions, and key industry enterprises.

The Blockchain National Innovation Center will focus on key technological breakthroughs and industrial applications around blockchain basic theory, key software and hardware technologies, foundational platforms and verification networks, common platforms and services, etc., to build a continuously open underlying blockchain platform, produce a batch of high-level iconic original scientific and technological achievements, and serve major application scenarios related to national economy and people's livelihood.

In addition, the Blockchain National Innovation Center will actively explore an enterprise-led collaborative mechanism for industry-university-research joint efforts, establish effective high-level talent incentive and introduction training mechanisms, attract and gather a group of world-class scientific and technological leaders, strengthen the open sharing of innovative resources, increase international scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges, and form an innovative network that links global resources.
