Coinbase CEO: Coinbase's staking service is not a security, and is willing to defend it in court if necessary
ChainCatcher news, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong tweeted, "Coinbase's staking service is not a security. If necessary, we are happy to defend it in court."
Previously, Armstrong also stated, "We stand for economic freedom and protect our customers from excessive government intervention." He mentioned that staking is a very important innovation in the cryptocurrency space, and staking does not fall under securities. New technologies should be encouraged to develop in the U.S. rather than being stifled due to a lack of clear rules. (source link)
