According to Bloomberg, the cross-chain communication and programmable Layer0 infrastructure protocol Golden Gate (GGX) has undergone two years of offline development and recently publicly released its latest roadmap. This roadmap not only shows the development history of the ecosystem over the past two years but also reveals important milestones to be achieved in 2023. Golden Gate (GGX) has completed innovations in comprehensive security for foundational layer communication, enhancing DeFi liquidity pathways in Web3.0. Following the release of Golden Gate (GGX)'s latest roadmap, major media outlets in the crypto industry, such as Newsbtc and Yahoo, have reported on Golden Gate (GGX), decoding the project from various dimensions including technical means, development status, project background, and key founders.

Golden Gate (GGX) is a programmable Layer0 network with advanced DeFi programming and enhanced Web3.0 security standards. Golden Gate (GGX) has conducted years of research on vulnerabilities and hacking attacks of Web3.0 cross-chain bridges, ultimately deciding to promote blockchain-based cross-chain interoperability between homogeneous and heterogeneous chains, achieving programmable and more secure interoperability. This includes customized and flexible cross-chain interoperability for different Web3.0 applications and blockchain systems based on programmability, better facilitating asset liquidity routing between different systems.

The protocol of Golden Gate (GGX) is agnostic to foundational layer communication and enhanced security standards, based on the currently mainstream ZK-Rollups technology solution, and constructs privacy for the communication layer through zero-knowledge proofs to ensure security and enhance security standards, while using an embedded hybrid virtual machine to serve cross-chain bridges and oracles. Golden Gate (GGX) is also providing critical infrastructure for the interoperability of the Web3.0 world and the "blockchain internet" of Web3.0.

Matthew Doty, the CSO (Chief Scientist) and co-founder of Golden Gate (GGX), is the second researcher hired by Vitalik Buterin at the Ethereum Foundation. He co-authored the Ethereum mining algorithm with Vitalik in 2015 and is a leading researcher and developer in the field of cryptographic technology. Matthew Doty stated, "Golden Gate (GGX) has been in stealth mode for a long time and is ready to launch. It challenges the decentralized and isolated infrastructure in today's Web3.0 ecosystem and enhances the versatility of foundational layer programmability, specifically built for high-capacity multi-chain DeFi orchestration."

Golden Gate (GGX) began development in 2021, with a testnet set to launch in the coming months. Before founding Golden Gate (GGX), its team helped develop some of today's leading Web3 infrastructure, including Layer1 blockchains, middleware, and DeFi applications, and has extensive experience in traditional technology, academia, and the aerospace industry. Some of the security standards used by Golden Gate (GGX) have been adapted from the aerospace and traditional technology sectors.

Viktor Ihnatiuk, the CEO of Golden Gate (GGX), and Yehor Butko, the CTO, co-founded Boosty Labs over the past five years, which is one of the largest and most renowned blockchain technology development providers in the world. Boosty Labs has over 150 engineers and developers and has assisted in the development of numerous well-known projects such as Consensys, Storj, Near, Ledger, and Pocket, which has accumulated comprehensive research and development experience for Golden Gate (GGX). Viktor Ihnatiuk also stated, "We developed Golden Gate (GGX) to create a Web3.0 technology solution and a reliable and trustworthy platform that can help solve the common interaction barriers in the current cross-chain field. The core of this platform is to address multi-chain DeFi orchestration vulnerabilities, and our goal is to unite and protect Web3.0."

After the summer of DeFi, as different on-chain ecosystems flourish, multi-chain has become a development trend in the Web3.0 world. The multi-chain layout of various application tracks is becoming a more widespread effective means of acquiring users and funds, and it holds significant importance for the long-term development of their ecosystems. Currently, the total on-chain TVL (Total Value Locked) is approximately $59 billion, with these funds distributed across more than 200 chains (including Layer1 and Layer2). With different trading demands, they also cross-chain transfer back and forth between different blockchain systems and applications. Of course, the economic interactions between different on-chain systems are also providing a foundation for further differentiation and development of on-chain application tracks.

From the perspective of on-chain natives, it is challenging for chains to directly interoperate; they require "middleware" to achieve indirect interactions. Cross-chain bridges are currently the primary means of facilitating fund and information exchanges between different systems in the industry. In fact, through observation of the industry, it is not difficult to find that although different cross-chain bridge solutions have varying characteristics and advantages for achieving interoperability, overall, they struggle to simultaneously meet three characteristics: universality (the ability to transfer any data between two chains), scalability (the ability to quickly deploy on heterogeneous chains), and trustlessness (minimizing trust assumptions). Moreover, most cross-chain interoperability solutions with a certain degree of universality sacrifice security to achieve this.

With the release of the new roadmap, the Layer0-featured and programmable cross-chain infrastructure ecosystem Golden Gate (GGX) will continue to achieve new technological advancements and drive the cross-chain track towards new narratives through innovative technological means.
