ChainCatcher news, the Helium Foundation announced that the Helium Network will begin migrating to Solana on March 27. To ensure a smooth transition, the Helium Foundation is forming an upgrade readiness working group composed of community volunteers to oversee the migration process, and this group will have the final say on the migration date. Migration documentation is now available at docs.helium.com, which has been segmented for different audiences and will be continuously updated; most hotspot device owners and token holders (i.e., HNT and MOBILE) do not need to take any action to participate in the upgrade; if users are still using the original Helium Hotspot App (blue icon), they must upgrade to the new Helium Wallet App (black icon).

Previously, ChainCatcher reported in November last year that Helium founder Amir Haleem stated that they would still adhere to the results of the HIP-70 proposal to migrate Helium to the Solana network. Amir Haleem mentioned that since the proposal of HIP-70, the criteria for evaluating Layer 1 blockchains have not changed, and the market's severe impact is not a consideration in the decision-making process.
