Polygon co-founder: The second version to solve the block reorganization issue will be released around March
ChainCatcher news, Uniswap founder Hayden Adams tweeted, "Polygon needs to take public action to address its reorganization issues. Yesterday's 157 block reorganization (5 minutes of historical data) and December's 120 block reorganization are terrible and will disrupt cross-chain bridges, CEX, etc. Maybe a change in the consensus algorithm is needed? Or a hard fork based on social consensus to cut down on validators?"
In response, Polygon co-founder Jaynti Kanani stated, "This is being done in two parts. The first part went live on the mainnet in January, reducing sprint size, and the second part will be released around March, supporting completion in a few seconds. Yesterday's reorganization was caused by a bug and will be fixed soon."
Earlier reports indicated that multiple Polygon users on Twitter and Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal's tweet showed that the Polygon block explorer Polygonscan experienced several hours of downtime before returning to normal. A Polygon spokesperson stated that the Polygonscan outage was related to a temporary error in node synchronization, and the Polygon network is still operating normally. (source link)
